On November 22, 2017, the Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA) approved ABC's application to establish Agricultural Bank of China Limited London Branch. This is a fresh step in ABC's long-term strategy to expand its operation in the UK and satisfy the global ambitions of its customers.

  The London Branch will replace the wholly owned UK subsidiary - Agricultural Bank of China (UK) Limited (ABCUK), established by the Parent Bank in 2011. The new London Branch provides an improved platform for ABC to focus on its wholesale banking services in the UK, including corporate deposits, syndicated and bilateral loans, trade finance, international settlement, foreign exchange settlement, foreign exchange and derivatives trading, leveraging support from the Head Office and the unique geographical advantage of London. We will play a greater role in the Belt and Road Initiative by serving the internationalization of Chinese companies and contributing to China-UK trade and finance.
